Grand Theft Auto 4 is expected to be the highest selling video game ever. And there are hundreds if not thousands of reasons why that is. With over 100 people working for 3 years to make this game possible, you can rest assured everything in the game that you are used to has been upgraded ten fold. The graphics are so real that if a character talks into camera you feel they are talking directly to you.
The game is centered around an immigrant Niko Belic coming to America to start new and live with his cousin. Upon arrival, he is forced into a new life of drugs violence and poverty. As the character, you struggle to establish a name for yourself in the underworld where revenge and betrayal run rampant.
Not only does this game bring back old features we loved but now there are twice as many gadgets to play with. The Internet cafés are a great place to check your email and search for dates. The cell phone is a great feature for calling friends to go bowling, drinking, eating or the many other options. It is also useful to coordinate missions.
The designers focused on making this game as close to reality as possible and have done an amazing job. Sitting in front of the television, you can't tell if you are sitting in a chair or actually immersed in a gun battle for a truckload of cocaine.
The critics are giving this game the highest score possible, as well am I. This game is a 10/10 easily and for the retail price of $60.00 it is well worth it. There hundreds of hours of game play for everyone to enjoy. Many people are concerned about how violent this video game is but compared to all of the other games out there it is quite tame. But do not let anyone younger than 16 years old play this game.
There are so many amazing features in this game it's impossible to list them all. The game makers have made sure to use all of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 capabilities well. From the moment you put this game into the machine, real life takes a back seat. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy today.
Additionally, the vehicles are new and improved taking realistic amounts of time to start and stop. Breaking into a car isn't as easy as opening the door. Now you have to watch your back while you smash the window open the door and hot wire the vehicle. There are no loading times for this game so the action is non stop and the environment lets you know that. You will never hear a person say the same line of dialogue twice. People on the street are sophisticated as they smoke, carry groceries, sweep the sidewalk or run from the police. My rating for this game is a 10 out of 10.
