Spirit Song
A pounding heart enlightens you
As your truth knocks longingly from within
Beckoning you to sing
Encircled by a sanctuary of trust
Hands touch hands to remind you
Of the love that surrounds you
Gentle soothing words to guide you
Go deep to find your true voice
Close your eyes and surrender
Breathe out the imprisoned sounds
That outer layer of self-consciousness
Comes out huskily at first
But then, free flowing essence resonates
A melodious expression of Spirit
Your heart sings out your Truth
Longing to be heard
Beautiful in its intimacy
Witnessed in awe by the circle of eight
You open your eyes and finally see
There are now eight guardian angels
And you used to have none
Look at how far you've come, you've come
Look at how far you've come
