parents believe they are dangerous. Frivolous laws based on fear, instead of facts, like these examples, are the demise of our American freedoms.

American children today are more likely to be obese because they do not get enough exercise. They spend too much time being safe indoors, playing video games, text messaging on cell phones or IM-ing their friends on MY Space. They are growing up in a completely different way than what I did. They live in fear of pedophiles lurking in their schools and churches. They see their parents spend money on credit cards with money they don't have, so that they can have stuff they want now. They have a good chance of living in a single parent household. They see same-sex marriages; celebrities like Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton getting front page headlines for their party hopping ways and school shootings.

I do not have faith in our government as it stands today. I can vote for whoever I deem is the best candidate for President, unfortunately, I think all the candidates are deceptive in their beliefs so they can win the election. I find it ridiculous the way candidates have to raise millions of dollars to fund their campaigns. I think a candidate who does not have millions of dollars would better understand what it is like to be the average American.

I am proud to be an American. I live everyday like it is my last. If I died today, I would die happy knowing I have seen some of the great American treasures, like Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, The Grand Canyon, The Hoover Dam, The Smithsonian, The Arlington Memorial Cemetery, The Vietnam War Memorial, The St. Louis Arch, Disneyworld, and a The Space Shuttle Challenger Launch. I will live my life without regrets and will blame no one for my misfortunes. I know what it is like to have everything, and I know what it is like to live on food stamps. I support our troops, not the war in Iraq. I will speak English and choose to speak Spanish if I want to converse with someone that way. I will not live in fear of terrorists attacks. I will not be afraid to live. I will be an American.
