Myths about what causes terrorism

be a purposeful human being. We hardly vote, and if we do, we base our opinion of the candidate on a thirty-second sales pitch of how great that person is, instead of doing thorough background checks on all of them. They should have to do a drug test also. If we have to pee in a cup to get a job at McDonald's, I think it is justifiable that the President of the United States should have to as well.

As Americans we have a lot of freedoms. We have the freedom to make good choices and bad choices in life. When you wake up in the morning you make the choice whether you are going to have a good day or a bad day. As Americans we need to stop blaming our unhappiness on other people, bad luck or our DNA. We are so lucky to have so many opportunities to be a successful human being. Many people have social problems that can be solved by making a commitment to respecting themselves and others, regardless of their social status, appearance or family dynamic.

On a recent trip to attend a wedding I observed many Americans behaving badly. The first experience I had was while traveling down 85 south to the airport; I had a lady in a mini-van fly up behind me in the hammer lane as I was passing a slower car. When I politely moved over for her to pass, she flipped me the bird. What surprised me the most is that it appeared she had several small children in the vehicle with her. I wonder what she is teaching her children. The next experience I had was while I was checking in at US Airways. I have a frequent flier card, so I thought I would look into getting a first class upgrade since my flight was going to be about six hours long to Seattle. As I was waiting my turn, I could not believe what I was seeing. The mother and father were finalizing their paperwork with the ticket agent, they turned to their two teenage daughters and politely asked them to stop what they were doing to show their ID's .They were too busy changing clothes right there in front of everybody. The parents were so annoying with their subdued pleas to the girls to do what they were told. I guess it is not a crime to show your underwear in public anymore. So much for being First Class. The final incident of my trip happened when the plane I was flying on, landed in Phoenix. I had a connecting flight to Seattle. As the plane was landing, the plane I was supposed to be in was flying away. A lady on the opposite side of the plane got out of her seat before the plane stopped and started yelling at the flight attendant
