Folks who want to serve the countries needs
People who would like great benefits and insurance
Citizens looking for stability for selves and family
Beings from small towns or counties where there is not a lot of employment opportunities

There are five US services to consider applying for:
US Air Force
US Army
US Coast Guard
US Marines
US Navy
Now each of these services have commissioned and non-commissioned, full-time/part-time, or civilian jobs you can enter; with well over 150 assorted careers just in the Army alone.
Each category offers skills and perks you would not find elsewhere. Just as a writer would not receive the same benefits as a doctor; the military has their own benefits package for each of the different services.
There are two other positions you could apply for also which include:
National Guard
State Guard
A sampling of the benefits the Army offers follows:
All around compensation - health, lowered health insurance for you and family, great portions of vacation allotment, food, schooling, great retirement benefits, family support
Funds for education - the Army may consider helping one to achieve one's goals by aiding in paying school loans or aiding in one's further education through programs
Income - standard pay, extra cash for specific versatility or responsibilities, sign-up bonuses among other types of pay.
The services have their own mission statements and values but each strives for excellence.
