Boston is a world leader in Science and Technology research, and in their timely application. The city serves as a model for conservation and environmental awareness. As an example, diligence in addressing water scarcity issues in Boston by the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority (MWRA) has led to a thirty percent reduction in water consumption since the 1980's, thanks to innovative water management infrastructure improvements and the enactment of bylaws requiring household upgrades.

Science and Technology are the focus of the MIT museum in Cambridge, the place to discover some of the latest research and innovations from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Not to be missed is the Harvard Museum of Natural History. This museum has truly earned its accolade as one of Boston's great treasures. On display here is the world renowned Glass Flower exhibit. HMNH is currently displaying a new exhibit featuring dozens of spectacular glass marine animals made by the father and son artists who created the Glass Flowers. HMNH is actually an incorporation of the Museum of Comparative Zoology, the Harvard University Herbaria, and the Mineralogical and Geological Museum.
