How can I be happy, if sadness is all around me?

How can I be proud, when others are ashamed?

How can I be brave, if what's up ahead is frighting?

How can I be strong, when those that guide me are weak?

How can I laugh, if everyone else is crying?

How can I live, when those I love are dying?

Could you, or would you even bother trying?
