When shadows descend upon my final days
like so many unknown guests
it is not I who will decide my destination
for I do not live at my behest
What power man could never know of
the hereafter and beyond
yet struggle though we may like ants
life's hill we dance upon
For final judgment so many guess
to know what does remain
when breath escapes to finally leave us
to join breezes on the plane
Knowing not what after awaits us sure
many have time wasted
for what happens yet to those undone
no living thing has tasted
So fear not mere mortal of your life
or what follows closely after
for if life you've lived quite properly
you'll obtain much joy and laughter
Think not of what must become someday
and more of what is now
and live your life in love not fear of
final judgment's bow

And all the entering souls
Have milky locks as well.
Will I make it into
