For differences in intelligence between races obviuosly a difference would occur as this is the basis of our economic system. The world has evolved over thousand of years, before that people lived as hunting and gathering societies. However, when Columbus and the Spanish came overseas they encountered hunting and gathering peoples who they overcame with a small amount of soldiers and expense. Could this be considered a small difference in intelligence or the need to evolve or what can be termed as a competitive society. A few tribes (ie. Inca, Aztec, and Mayan) advanced to a more sophisticated level but were halted by the Spanish in search of their gold and various gems which were of little value to the natives themselves.. Perhaps they could have evolved to a further degree.

Mamy believe that because the African continent is less developed than most of the rest of the world perhaps they have a lower intellectual capacity. Remember the Egyptians were the major power a few thousand years ago and even the object of religious zeal and contempt. They weould have been the leading intellectual force of thst time.

The Chinese have had civilized forces dating back thousands of years before the Europeans. They read the stars for predictions and even studied different animal movements to mimic strategic moves and strategies (kung fu, karate, judo....). Because of their large numbers and size they overwhelmed their neighbours. The conquering Mongolian tribes preferred to be trading partners with this vast empire rather than overtake it.

The ancient Greeks were masters of philosophy, mathematics, literature, scientific thought, and battle strategies. The Spartans helped to stop the advancing Persians and as a result the Athenians emerged as the great world power, after the fall of Xerxes. Many refer to this as the initiation of the Golden Age or even the start of democracy or Western civilization.

The Romans over centuries emerged as the leading power. Greece was only a small country wirth a rocky and barren landscape. The Romans imitated many of the profound philosophical, mathematical, literary, and scientific principles of the Greeks. They even kept the same gods but just altered their names. Many of their roads still exist today because of their sturdy technology. But because they were surrounded by less sophisticated people and mankind's irresistable drive they also fell. Through the next few centuries many great thoughts were lost
