Gazing at the hands of time
every second casually progressing,
approaching a new minute
guiding time into the expected hour.
I gaze still,
as the surrounding walls give way,
gradually grumbling onto the ground
unmasking humanity's deformities.
I attempt to close my eyes but I see no future;
Only an endless, everlasting darkness.
So I open them.
