The Bible is a book of truths; God's word is truth. (John 17:17). Searching for truth in the Bible is really about finding truth that will transform our lives and give us the protection and promised abundant life.
As we look around the world, we see wars and rumors of wars, famine, drought, poverty, rioting, and people with cold hearts doing things to family and strangers that make us shake our head in unbelief that this could happen in our time and community. God said in Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28 that these things would come when people ignored His word. Jesus said these things would come before his second coming. We search for means to pay for luxuries we don't have much time to enjoy.
