POINT OF VIEW SONNET #56
It is hard to fathom a person's mind,
To understand why they do what they do.
Why they are thoughtful, or why they're unkind.
It's tough to see another's point of view.
There's no value in passing harsh judgment,
Or in avoiding them altogether.
Being a friend means to be tolerant,
Not only in fair, but in foul weather.
It's easy to recall the things WE'VE done,
When we've tried our best to help another.
Remembering the good everyone
Has done for us- we just do not bother.
When we are disillusioned by a friend,
Focus on the good, our anger transcend.
