With hits like Toxic and Baby One More Time, Britney Spears has become a household name so when she shaved her head bald as she sat in a chair at a Los Angeles hair salon the entire gossip world went crazy. This is probably because no one could understand why on earth she did it. It baffled gossip reporters all around the world. Esther Tognozzi (the owner of the salon) told Us Magazine that "[they] have know idea how she found [them] she just walked in and said that she wanted to shave her head".

Earlier in the week of the incident Britney had spent 24 hours in a rehabilitation center which could have been a trigger for her wanting to shave her head. After exiting the rehabilitation center, Britney Spears embarked on a plane journey from Miami to Los Angeles. It's a well known fact that Britney Spears is a huge star all around the world so during the plane journey passengers were shocked and astounded to see that instead of sitting in 1st class ,as you might expect from an international pop sensation, she took to sitting in coach class with everyone else.

When someone carries out such an act as the shaving of the head it could be to cleanse ones self of a bad omen or even to remove ones conscience after you've done something wrong. For example if someone has committed a crime such as armed robbery or burglary to clear their conscience they might donate to charity or do some volunteer work. So maybe Britney Spears shaved her head to start a fresh or start over. After all when someone leaves rehab all they want is a second chance, so she wanted to make amends of her life.

Many people on the Internet have argued about the causes of her acts. Some people think it's her stint in rehab others think that it has something to do with her relationship with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Another important factor in the case is what she went into rehab for.

Britney entered the rehabilitation center for her problems with alcohol.People often drink alcohol to make themselves feel happy or to create jolly times that no one will remember in the morning. But what not many people understand is that one of the effects of alcohol is that it actually makes you feel depressed and rather sad. So she was already gloomy when she entered rehab,so perhaps Britney Spears was still feeling a bit blue or down in the dumps.

Having put all the key components together it seems that it is most likely her visit to rehab that triggered her to shave her head the most. Though thankfully she is started to progress in the music business now,she is getting to see her kids more often and with rumors of her and Kevin Federline getting back together it seems that Britney Spears is finally starting to get her life back on track!
