Is Jesus the only way of salvation?

Yes

by Maureen Totterer

I would love to write a melody in three part harmony about how wonderful it is that our planet is finally coming together in peace, love and mutual acceptance.
-But that would be a lie.

I would love to tell you that I appreciate all the different viewpoints regarding Christianity from the followers of Islam, Hindu, Humanism and other religions.
-But I don't.

I would love to say that someday, someone, somewhere could change my mind about Jesus Christ.
-But that would be impossible.

My heart can not be changed. I can not  change the heart of another person. Only God can change a heart. The prophet Jeremiah tells us, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?"  God changed my heart. He gave me a new heart and a new spirit.

I am a Christian, bought and paid for by the redeeming shed blood of Jesus Christ.  Jesus is the only way of salvation. The Bible says so.

Enemies of Christ would attempt to eliminate the word of God, the Bible. Many are chipping away at the Bible, attempting to rewrite or interpret it according to their own perspectives or agendas. They would prefer the Bible to read "all paths lead to the same God, all paths lead to heaven."

-But it doesn't.

Jesus said so Himself: "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me."

The exclusiveness of Christianity offends many people. Yet, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."

Why not Allah? Why not Buddha? Why not Zeus?

Because none of the above willingly went to the cross to die for all my sins. None of the above is fully God and fully man, yet without sin. None of the above rose from the dead.

Only a prophet? More than a Prophet. Jesus is my Lord and our God, the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

Some might ask, "Can't we all just get along?" No, we can't. It's not scriptural. Yet many people continue to look for peace and search for a Savior.

We don't get along because we have different spirits. Jesus promised His followers He would send a helper. The Holy Spirit resides in the followers of Christ and guides us in all truth by pointing us to Jesus.

We don't take to heart the words of other beliefs because our spirits are different. Christians have sweet fellowship together because we are like-minded and of the same Spirit.

"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
