Great things to do in Maui HI

As you arrive in Maui into the airport, there is nothing spectacular about the Kahului Airport. Until you enter the lobby. The paneling that surrounds the inside is like being in an elegant home of some nobility. It is long and ostentatious but the people who work there are very friendly and will go out of their way to be of assistance. When you get outside of the airport, it seems like you just stepped into a dessert. Vacant airport land all around you. Nothing to write home about, but as you drive away the scenery is like stepping into a descriptive narration. The green pineapple fields on both sides of the highway, the scent of a sweet aroma in the air. The unmistakable smell of a just cut open pineapple. Keep your windows open. Ahhhhh! In Maui, as you leave the airport, you have (if your heading west) one street to travel on. It goes down hill just past a little town and as you come to the T, you have to make a left or a right. The right takes you north to the best spots on the island and the left takes you south, to the crowded side of the island. If you try to go straight you'll end up in the Pacific. Anyway you go, you wont go wrong. Everything in Maui is like an elixir. It just soothes the savage beast within.

If your trip is to consist of a long hotel stay, and the hotel van is your transportation, you will miss a lot of excellent sight-seeing. Not to mention other parts of the island. To stay secluded in Maui is like committing a crime on yourself. There are beaches galore to explore, places to go and things to do away from the pleasantness of your abode. If you enjoy family outings, nature hikes and trails, why not try Iao Valley St. Monument. Talk about lush and green! That place is a testament to rain forests. If you've never been to one, here it is. Small but awesome. There are hiking trails, waterfalls, and a great many other things to do, but without transportation, you will miss out. Maybe your hotel will have trips that you can sign up to go there, but if your on a time limit it wont be as enjoyable because you wont have time to explore all that there is in that green lush. The Iao Valley will be a day excursion if you allow yourself to be awed by the sheer beauty of it, and everything that it has to offer. As the saying goes, try it you'll like it.

The Road to Hanna! What can you say about the road to Hanna? Winding, slow, tedious, and those are just the so so things. The road to Hana is beautiful, surrounded by lush green forests on all sides,
