Faith and philanthropy in Boston, Massachusetts

Welcome to Boston, a city with a very colorful history. From the Boston Tea Party, Salem Witches, the Red Sox and Fenway Park to Cape Cod and the Kennedys, the historical significance of this city blazes its way to your heart.

Maybe you're visiting to see all of the historical sites of the city; or maybe you're here for a little more. One can view the city from the outside in and then again, one can view the city from the inside out. Boston is reaching out to their community to promote well being in their "neighborhood". Faith-based organizations are stepping out in a big way to try to help all who are in need and are making a great difference in the lives of many.

I have listed just some of the organizations around the Boston area that are actively involved in improving quality of life. This is a highly diverse list, with several different religious entities. All of these faith-based organizations are aggressively recruiting volunteers to further their efforts. Imagine, investing your time, getting to know the people - and the city - from the inside out.

~Greater Community Baptist Church~
Greater Community Baptist Church works within the community by helping others in housing, education, training and social services needs. In furthering their efforts to help their community, they have provided a computer lab room, after school programs and workshops.
