The tapping of their feet generate as one with the beating of their hearts and joy fill their souls when teenagers listen to music that brings adoration to their Saviour. It is a beautiful thing, one worth savoring. Good music moves our souls naturally as it is, good Christian music intensifies the soul even more. Teenagers can find solace in music that contains a good beat along with an even better message.

Often starting out as teenagers themselves, Christian artists have a strong connection with teenagers and can relate to them and how they feel. Many of the bands touch deeply on what it is like to be a teenager in today's society.

Artist Plumb reached out to teenagers with her song entitled "Cut" that speaks about the touchy topic of self-abuse known as cutting. The song was written to help self-abuse victims speak out and ask for help, assuring them that they "are not alone." Her other songs such as "Unforgiveable" speaks about verbal and emotional abuse, and "Damaged" about sexual abuse. Plumb has dedicated each one of her albums to people that are hurting which makes a deep connection with teenagers.

Recently the Dove Awards have taken place and have awarded the hottest and most popular musicians in the Christian music industry. Artist of the year, Toby Mac, is one of the most popular Christian music artists for teenagers today. Toby Mac previously recorded music with the group DC Talk for many years and drew thousands of teenagers into the Christian music industry with their up-to-date style, catchy lyrics, and good taste.

Female vocalist of the year, Natalie Grant has become increasingly popular with teenage girls, providing them with role model like attributes. Her music encourages faith, dedication to Christ, and a willingness to help those in need. Natalie has taken her ministry to the next level with starting the Home Foundation, which helps in saving young girls from human sex trafficking here in the United States and abroad.
