Wisdom appears to be comprised of two separate words, wise and kingdom. The personal journey to find the Kingdom of Wise can take many paths and many years. Just because one is an elder, it does not automatically make them wise, and just because one is seven years old does not mean they can not possibly demonstrate what they know.
Everyone has Wisdom and expresses it differently. However, the definition of Wisdom is ultimately for the 'self' to decide. Some days it can be as obvious as a glorious morning sunrise, and other times as painful as losing a limb.
Here are a few paths, of the many, that have been observed on the way to seeking out the Kingdom of Wise.
*There is the path of Treachery, which can be found by committing acts that have a negative effect on those around you. Sometimes these choices are made, not by our conscious self, but by our subconscious, which often rears its ugly head when we need to address an internal issue. For example, stealing from a best friend. We love our best friend, why would we do this? More than likely because of an unresolved issue that we needed to address in order to 'wise up' to its existence.
Wisdom is gained here by waking up and examining who you are and acknowledging there are deep issues that need to be resolved before meeting the next challenge on your path to the Kingdom of Wise. After embracing the issue and overcoming it, you will become 'wise to the situation' and possess the wiseness not to let it happen again.
*The path of Hardship can be taken if the soul truly feels that only by overcoming self-inflicted obstacles will the door to the Wise Kingdom be opened. Self-sabotaging interviews, meetings, and opportunities to prove to the self that it can overcome the worst of it.
This is often a result of swollen eye syndrome. The eyes are so swollen with stress that the heart is now allowed a say in the matter. The heart can not see through swollen eyes so it can not help in your decision making process. Thus your mind sabotages your decisions because it is not in contact with the heart. You really wanted that job at that publishing company but you ended up ranting about your issues with how little a writer actually makes from them? It just spilled out did it? You talked yourself right out of the situation.
Your eyes don't open until you are standing down in the lobby wondering why the interview was so short? Then it dawns on you. Your eyes become like saucers as you realize what you have said and done. Then
