When You Look At Me
When you look at me,
what do you see?
Do you see my heart,
or my mind?
Or does your own bias,
make you blind?
Do you see my laugh?
Do you hear my cry?
Would you shed a tear,
if I happen to die?
Do you see my words,
there in my eyes?
Or is the truth so blunt,
you discard them as lies?
When you look at me,
do you think it can't be true?
That I have to be someone,
as fake as you?
