Let us firstly look at why we seek the answer to this thought-provoking question.
Every aspect of human life is confined to three dimensions, there is height, depth and width. We are trapped within these borders. Therefore any comprehension beyond these three dimensional boundaries can only be the result of speculation.
We are left to assume that some great power was responsible for our creation, we ask ourselves, how can such a complex universe, especially this planet earth exist without a well thought out master plan. Of course if this universe was a result of such a plan, then there must be an intelligence out there somewhere that both devised and executed this.
So, we either believe in God or else two nothings that just happened to come together and cause a big bang, which produced everything. I am not intending to lead the reader here to any conclusion towards any preferred belief, but feel free to correct me if you have ownership of any irrefutable evidence to prove me wrong.
Here we are, confined to our three dimensional box attempting to take a peek outwards towards the great unknown. We satisfy our belief with materials of either science or scripture in our attempt to understand the meaning of life.
The question is raised, who created God. Do we seriously believe that any answer would completely, and ultimately satisfy our curiosity? Until we can clearly see beyond our own experience of life there is no defined answer to the creation question, because we will always have a desire to know just who created the creator's creator, on and on the question will go until the answer is nothing, then, we will be just as confused as we are now, because we can only comprehend nothing as being relative to something.
If that something is God, then just what is the relative nothing, or indeed, is there a nothing' relative to something called God?
Satisfy yourself in your belief and the supporting material available, and just enjoy this thing that we experience called life that is shared not only by biological beings, but also the inanimate botanical species.
