A Few Ways To Make Some Extra Cash.

Having been through quite a few hard times financially the past few years, I've constantly tried to find ways to make extra money on the side. A full time job doesn't always pay the bills, especially these days when the prices on everything are going up, while wages are staying the same. I've compiled a list of some of the best ways I've found to make extra cash. Unfortunately most of these do require quite a bit of work and some do take a little while to get started, but others are just simple ways to save a little money by cutting back on certain things and taking more time deciding on purchases.

1. Have A Garage Sale.
This is a fairly easy way to earn a little extra cash. Garage sales can be a lot of work, setting up and later cleaning up what wasn't sold. It can be worth it though. There are plenty of people who go out every weekend searching for garage sales and as the old saying goes, "One man's trash is another man's treasure." For me this is actually one of the more difficult ways to make extra cash though, because first of all, I hate getting up early. Most people hit up garage sales very early in the morning, some will even knock on your door if you aren't set up as early as they would like for you to be. What I have found to be the best way to advertise, and avoid certain early birds ringing your doorbell the moment the sun rises, is to print fliers and/or put an ad in the newspaper about your garage sale. Be sure to say in the ad or flier what time you plan to start and state that you will not be starting any earlier than that time. The second reason I have a hard time with garage sales is because I don't have a garage, I live in an apartment. Fortunately I have very good friends who do have houses and have garage sales on a regular basis. Don't be scared to ask your friends if you can put a few of your own items up for sale and in return you will help them set up and clean up. If you do this, be sure to us labels to write the price you are asking and initial it so you can be sure to keep the money separate.

2. Mow Lawns.
This can be a lot of work but if you are dedicated and have the time on your hands you can really make some good money doing this. I have a friend who started mowing a few neighbors lawns for some extra cash, then those neighbors told their friends about it who told their friends about it, and on and on. She now has her own lawn service. She makes fliers first thing every spring and goes around neighborhoods
