Teaching young children is a wonder, there are so many different ways in which to teach children that even television and music can work. I know many parents don't believe that television is always the best way to teach but I for one believe it is. The wonderful shows for infants and toddlers is amazing. Not only do they provide a second language but also important information on numbers, letters, and shapes.

When your child has the television on it's important to understand that they don't actually sit their and watch, they listen as they play. Yes, this is true, children have the means to listen and play as infants and toddlers, they take it all in and before you know it they are repeating what they have heard. The infant and toddler is such a sponge they just absorbs everything they can when listening to programs such as the shows geared toward their age.

The toddler who is always busy doing the many things they do to enjoy themselves, they don't have time to sit and watch what's happening but soon they are saying the numbers in Spanish, and maybe even some words. The child who sit and watches television all the time may not always do as well, the child who doesn't try to repeat words or songs from the television may not always do so well. The child who sits at the dinner table and say a new word or two and try to sing a song from a program you put on earlier that day may not have watched the program but you can bet he or she heard what was going on. Children love to sing and dance at an early age, playing music for children in many language is so important, they learn to mimic others, dance as they do on television shows and it's a wonderful way for the young child to learn new things. Your child's learning experience should be a fun way of learning.

It should be the most important part of growing, when they are introduced to many things such a music, dance, songs and yes television.

I have taught young children for many years and they always seem to amaze me. They wanr approval for everything and when a child learns something new from the television they can't wait to share it and let you know what they can do. It is always a great day when your child shows he or she can dance or do an exercise that they got from on the their telelvision shows.

It's also great when a child comes to you and say a word that he or she hasn't used before.

Children love the idea of learning, they look to you to give them the tools the need, they want the knowledge that you hold and it's important to provide all that you know to they growing years.
