Our present day criminal Judicial system. Justice or Joke? Joke, more often than not.
The name says it all. "Criminal" Justice. It is a justice system that has devolved into applying justice to and for the criminal, while casting the justice for the victim into the wind.
Far too often the system fails the victim, releases the criminal and is a mockery of true justice, and, our nation.
The system is in need of an overhaul.
With lawlessness at an epidemic and the lack of reverence for life so high, it is now unfortunately necessary to digress to several forms of harsh, inhumane punishment.
The majority of state and federal penitentiaries should be converted into civil service non-paying labor camps to assist at and in working farms, and, municipal and state public works and infrastructure department projects.
The passage of several bills at the federal level, to supercede any state law, would receive high marks from most in the public:
- Federal legislation mandating a minimum 10 year sentence without parole at a labor camp for the first offense of murder, rape, aggravated assault, armed robbery, extortion, witness intimidation and other violent crimes.
- Federal legislation mandating capital punishment for the second offense of murder, rape, aggravated assault & battery; third offense of witness intimidation, armed robbery.
- Federal legislation mandating the categorization of all street gang members as Domestic Terrorists and Enemy Combatants, allowing the use of military force, justice codes and procedures, including the ability to use the "any means necessary short of torture" writ during intrrogation, to extract information about crimes committed
- Federal legislation mandating that in all forms of fraud, theft and vandalism, that the criminal be forced to make restitution to all victims equal to each of their losses via the confiscation and distribution of the offender's assets, regardless of the financial situation it leaves the criminal.
- Federal Legislation mandating that in all above crimes in which the criminal is identified or caught perpetrating the crime by video or by witness(s), he/she is sentenced by hearing only, with no due process or trial.
Oh, I can hear it now! "Inhumane!...A violation of civil rights!"
Excuse me? Are the victims' civil rights violated by such criminal acts? Have inhumane acts been committed against the victims? And who is it that just has to "accept" their loss? Is the present system adequately reducing the number of and frequency of such criminal acts and actors? Or are we experiencing an increase in such crime?
Now understand a reality. To add insult to injury, it is the victims' tax dollars that are spent paying the public defenders who defend criminals who have committed violent acts against them, the victim! And these criminals usually do not have legitimate employment, i.e., engage in tax-free, illegal or illicit transactions in the "shadow economy"!
Inhumane? A violation of rights? No. The current system is "perverted"!
