The sense of Zen in the paintings of Salvador Dali

Created on: May 02, 2008

I searched through Salvador Dali's images until I stunningly stopped and stared into the strokes that created this magnificent piece of art. My vision was set on a creation that had never entered my sights or whirled through the mind of my fantasy thoughts. Cleverly, Salvador Dali had painted this ship into a colorful bazaar creation of butterflies and captured my full attention. I was inspired to pair this art with a song called "Unchained Melody," sung by the musical artist LeAnn Rimes. I found pairing these pieces of art together were deserving of each other.

A beautiful sky of whispering clouds is set in a background of outstanding colors of blue. I found the many colorful butterflies, which make up the sails of this ship are simply breath taking. I wonder what led Salvador to this impeccable creation. For I imagine it must have been something superbly beautiful that would have lead us all to a fantastic creation. I have a strong feeling that many have viewed this piece of art and they too have loved it as I do.

Listening to the song "Unchained Melody" while gazing into this picture of art leaves a whimsical soothing feeling clear to my soul. This has definitely been an inspiration to me at this stressful period in my life. For the time it took to collect thoughts regarding these pieces lifted my spirits. Not only did I have the indulging need to separate myself away from my stressful situation I was very thankful this allowed me to do so without the realization the affect would have. For these two pieces of art together were magical in carrying me away.

Would it not be superbly wonderful if each and every artist included a paragraph or two included with each of their works of art? I would welcome any information an artist would be willing to share and include regarding their work and quite possibly how he or she came to their conclusion of artistry, regarding each particular piece that was created by them. This insight I believe would be greatly appreciated by all of us that worship the artistic world.

I do understand there is no way artist are going to step back and start doing this for their prior works of art. Plus, for the artists that have left us and entered into the heavenly world, it would be impossible also. But, would it not be wonderful if the artists today, began adding their inspirational tales of what led them to create each piece he or she has created?

I look forward to the future, hoping someday to stumble across some of our artists creations, and finding a paragraph or two, telling us how he or she was inspired to create their piece of art.
