Reflections: My pledge to humanity

by Kristie Trombley

Created on: May 02, 2008

My pledge to humanity. I pledge to humanity that I will be a good, kind, caring, understanding, loving, and loyal humanitarian forever. I promise to treat each and everyone, as I would want to be treated. I have been and will be the first to step up to the plate giving guidance, help, and understanding to all I know in need. I will not or have never judged anyone, for there is nothing worse than a person that judges others for their mistakes, or actions. After all, I do not know of anyone that has been a perfect person. We all need to learn by our mistakes and take pride in our accomplishments, whatever they may be. Just as long as you are not hurting anyone. Life is full of many different roads along the way. Some take the rough roads, some the easy roads, some get lost along the way, and some have merely been thrown on difficult roads. There is no harm in caring for someone. After all, we all need caring people around us, I would think.

We are all here on this earth, for the purpose we believe in. Myself, I believe that this would be a much happier, healthier, and manageable life, if we would or could merely be more understanding and show our humanitarian side much more than we do. After all, next time it might just be your turn for the tables to turn, you never know. And would it not be more except able for someone to help you a little quicker, if they were aware of your kind soul.

I am happy to say, "I do and can, look at myself each day in the mirror, knowing for certain, I am a kind soul." It is the best feeling in the world, knowing yourself, that you are a good, kind, caring, understanding, loving, and loyal humanitarian. I believe it would be a better world for us each, if there were more people that followed through in showing their humanitarian efforts. No, I do not mean bragging about what you do for someone. I clearly mean, helping someone in their time of need. Showing someone that you care enough to take the time to help them with their difficulties. Being or showing some form of support when you know they are having problems. There are many ways a person can help someone. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure it out. It merely takes someone like "ourselves" to pay attention, actually care, and then to take some form of action to help. Assist the one in need.

Always remember, "It does not cost a whole lot to be kind." Furthermore, "It could be you, needing someones help."
