Should there be no religion in your life? You have a God given right to decide that. Some people decide yes and others decide no. Both are useful to our understanding. If we did not see those who chose no religion, see their manner of life and hear their arguments, we couldn't perfect our understanding of our religion. If religion was beautiful and powerful for our lives, we would all want it. Deciding on should there be no religion is a serious matter with very serious consequences for society. We must question our understanding of life and where we came from and what it means to our future.
The different religions have an underlying common theme. Separation among religions comes when people follow customs, rituals, ceremonies and practices that were never commanded by God. When there is a conflict, you can simply show what is written and no one can condemn you for believing it, though they may stay in their error. It is difficult to live in a family or community where some people believe that there is a heaven to gain and a hell to avoid and others believe that when you die, there is nothing more to be said; you will be no more. Then there are others who say when you die you will either live in a paradise or be reborn to come to earth to live another life in hopes of getting it right the next time, or that you will be reborn as an animal. Just remember that after you die, what will happen, will happen. Your decision is how to live your life now.
People who do not believe we were created as formed humans, as the holy books say, have a hard time believing in religion or that there is a God who gave directions and that He rules the world according to laws that He set. If there had never been knowledge of God and His directions for living life, there would not have been religion. We need to question our beliefs:
How would we have evolved if there were no rules and directions governing us and the planet elements like earth and water?
Would the earth know to grow vegetation that was edible?
Would we survive long enough to know what was edible verses what was deadly?
Would we eat the other beings that would be evolving with us?
If we began on this planet as babies with no supervision or direction, how would we evolve?
Would we decide to share what we had or fight over it?
If survival of the fittest is the evolutionary process, would we learn to love each other or use each other and destroy each other?
If by chance we grew to adulthood and somehow had a baby, would
