Poetry: I won't let her give up

by Ryan Hart

Created on: May 02, 2008

She's not always sure of herself,
or of the path that she should take.
She hopes the best will be the outcome,
in the decisions she must make.

All she wants is to be truly happy,
and to be freed from all of this stress.
To me she's like a gift from God and Heaven,
yet to her she feels like she's so much less.

I try so very hard to make her smile,
and though many times I do succeed.
I can't help myself but worry for her,
or that I cannot provide what she may need.

There is no girl that I have ever known so well,
and yet and still I long to know her better.
I know that sometimes she feels like just giving up.
I know that I simply just can't let her.
