Top artistic schools in the Southwest

Visual Communication has rapidly become a forefront of expression in today's population. Artistic schools are designed for individuals with interests in areas such as music, arts, singing, dancing and many other areas. Furthering your education after high school is very important in today's ever changing society. There are a variety of artistic schools that help students develop their talents. Collins College in Tempe, Arizona provides instruction in artistic areas such as Visual Communications, Web Design, Animation, Digital Video and more. With some of the latest technology available to students, Collins College strives to offer its students the best. The college has experienced and dedicated teachers teaching students necessary skills required to be successful in their desired fields. The Advisory Board is under constant review of the curriculum to ensure the school is keeping up with the rapid changing fields.

Located in San Antonia, Southwest School of Art and Craft is recognized nationally as one of the top schools in arts education. Programs are available for adults as well as children and teens yearly. Classes at the school are taught by local, regional and nationally known artists.

Adult studio programs are available in areas such as Ceramics, Fibers, Metals, Painting, Drawing, Print Making, Paper and Book Arts, Photography and many others. Certificates are given for completion and passing a focused course of study. The school also offers a Young Artists Program as well as Public Programs.

The Art Center Design College in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a second location in Tucson, Arizona, provides the opportunity for students to study art and design. This private college strives to set itself apart from the rest by setting a standard that includes general educations programs. High academic and admission standards are set to challenge students and set them apart for the rest. The goal of the college is to educate students to become future industry leaders.

The Interior Design program offered by the school is accredited by the Foundation for Interior Design Education Research which means a degree of this type holds the highest industry standard.

California College of the Arts in San Francisco, California offers students the opportunity to study Architecture, Art History, Ceramics, Fine Arts, Print Making, Photography, and so much more. CCA strives to balance tradition with innovation. The curriculums offered by CCA combine theory and practice. By using everyday application, CCA teaches students the relevance of learning. The goal of CCA is to give students the knowledge and tools needed to succeed upon course completion.

The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California offers courses in Apparel Design, Computer Design, Fashion Design, Costume Design as well as many others. With nine majors and fourteen study programs, FIDM provides excellence and industry standard. This unique college brings students together with educators, industry leaders and the public. FIDM has become a leading educator in Fashion Graphics, Interior Design and Entertainment. The goal of FIDM is to train students with the needed abilities to be successful in their desired field.
