I'm just a humble American with a humble opinion. I feel that we have become a target for terrorism simply because we can't seem to mind our on business. We've bragged and stated that we are all powerful. That we are the richest country in the world. Maybe we are, but as I look around I'm not so sure.
For some reason America thinks it has the right to tell other countries how they can and can not live. What they can or can not do. Who they can and can not believe in. Where does America get off thinking we know everything?
I love my country, though some of what we do simply makes my mouth drop open. This country has set itself up for terrorism. We've even went as far as giving training to these terrorists. I find it amazing how a country that is so great can be so dumb.
I worked at a power plant during 9/11. They set up all kinds of security to keep terrorists out, supposedly. Their methods were not so great but that's beside the point. I figured it this way, if the terrorists had plans to blow up our power plants, they had their people in place a long time ago. In other words they were already on the inside. That simple.
You don't just decide to blow something that big up on a spur of the moment thought. You plan. Generally for years. You prepare and get everything ready for the big day. Then if You decide to destroy something, when the decision is made, you simply do it.
America has butted it's nose into every other countries business in the presumption that it is always right. Who has the right to even make that call? Do it our way or else? Our government is the most haughtiest and self moralized government that exists. America simply thinks it's better then every place else. Maybe it is, but it doesn't give us the right to force our ways on others.
And if we are so rich, why are we so dependent on other places for fuel and other stuff? Take a look around. Almost everything we buy anymore comes from China, Japan, Ta wain, or Hong Kong. Seems they are the smart ones. We not only help them by giving them money, we buy all our products from them.
Wanna talk terrorism? How simple would it be for those other countries to put us under simply by poisoning the products we buy from them? We allow them to cross our borders as easy as I walk out my front door. We allow them to be educated as doctors over in their country then come over here and set up shop.
How have we set our selves up for terrorism? Simply by thinking we can't be destroyed. Some day I'm afraid we are going to discover that we can be. And very easily.
