Poetry: Society

Eyes
With which we see are what we know
To be the vision in which we believe
Believe the circle that in we rest
Is the world of everyone else's

Reflections of a painted visage
Acclaim for wanton truth within
Truth existing between the lines
Lines of plastic fabrication

Existence is all we seek
Seeking approval of normality
Pleasant change once in a while
To see what you don't believe

Vistas of a chosen montage
Supersede the black and white
All seeing eye of Horus
Blinded by the lack of light

What is it that you witness
Present in your time and day
Seen the evidence presented
Walk the line or walk away

Worlds apart you and I
World between afflictions
Contradict the gaping mile
View my present state

All for one and one for all
One is all is one
Eyes with that which we see
Are what we only know
