What would you say to a "beautiful" education? An education that allows you to express yourself and give you encouragement throughout your academic career?
Hopefully, there is a "yes" in your heart. People all over are beginning to see why top art schools are constantly spinning out top notch artists from Graphic Designers to Game Designers-all from their classrooms.
ACADEMY OF ARTS UNIVERSITY
The first of these schools to consider is the Academy of Arts University. Set in picturesque San Francisco, this school was founded in 1929 by Richard Stevens, and now has over 11,000 students, making it the largest private school of art in the country.
So what does such a huge art college have to offer? Well, more than just painting and sculpture that's for sure. This school also has Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Game Design, Animation, and Computer Arts/New Media. There is so much to offer.
This same Academy care by offering free shuttling from morning to night and most importantly, the University has high job placement and graduates have gone on to careers in top industries such as Pixar, Nickelodeon, LG Electronics, and Abercrombie and Fitch.
WESTWOOD COLLEGE
The next school on the list would have to be Westwood College. Set in Denver, Colorado this school offers more than just Business programs. Say hello to Advertising, Game Design, Animation and Drafting. Both Academy of Art University and Westwood College have something in common- Game Design. We can all be honest and say that the Gaming Industry is hot right now and art schools all over are cranking out graduates loaded with ideas graduating from these revolutionized schools.
THE ART INSTITUTES OF ARIZONA
The Art Institutes of Arizona is another great college to visit. Although the Art Institutes in general was founded in Chicago in 1879 as both a museum and school, Arizona and just about any other place in America have an Art Institute. That is what sets this school apart from others. It has nationwide campuses. Programs available include: Media Art and Design, Fashion Merchandising, and many more. Even culinary Arts! So you can create from the soul and learn to feed the soul too.
What do all of these major schools have in common? They offer cutting edge technology and offer real world courses to help develop the whole student.
How we can forget about convenience? Each art school mentioned above offers online courses. So, you can be on your couch drinking hot tea, while studying about Art History. How wonderful.
After speaking with a few people, I discovered that those few who were art students were very passionate about what they do. "Bella" said: "Art is very important in our daily lives. From the clothes we wear to the furniture in our homes to the cars we drive." She is a graduate of Kent State University with a Fine Arts Degree.
There's a statement on Aademy o Arts Website that says:"Liberal Arts is found everywhere- each major has components of humanities, sciences, and business courses to satisfy the student."
So let's begin to look at life with Art-Deco glasses, and begin to see what a blank canvas has to offer us.
