Arthritis is a joint disorder featuring inflammation which is frequently accompanied by joint pain. There are number of arthritis but the most common forms of Arthritis are osteoarthritis, rheumatoid and Gout arthritis.
Osteoarthritis or wear and tear arthritis generally affects to elderly people due to systematic loss of bone tissue in the joints. It mainly attacks women usually after the menopause.
Rheumatoid Arthritis is characterized by swelling and pain in the hands, especially the knuckles and second joints, as well as in the arms, legs and feet, followed by general fatigue and sleeplessness.
Gout occurs due to the elevated blood levels of uric acid, which forms crystals in the joints. The immune system reacts to these crystals as if to a foreign invader and the joint, as a result, becomes inflamed and painful.
