Poetry: Inspire me

by METurner

Created on: May 02, 2008

Teach me dear Lord
Inspire me to do righteous things
My desires are not what they should be
I'm in bondage
Please set me free
I'm choking with pain and agony
Help me; I can hardly breathe
It's you Lord that I desperately need
Show me dear Lord, what I should do
With you by my side
I can make it through
I desire to feel your presence
Sinful flesh, I must subdue
Speak to me dear Lord; my head is beginning to spin
Anoint me Lord
Massage the pain within
Walk with me Lord
Don't let me run to sin
Reach for me; catch me
Cause me to do good again
Continuing to do wrong
I'll loose this race
I'll go down to the other place
I can't go there
I want to see your face
Comfort me Lord; I feel so alone
I don't want to reap the sin that I've sown
Let not my heart become a heart of stone
Inspire me dear Lord
So I can go Home
