As you grow older I sit and remember how we met,
So young and playful, but loving you, that I will never regret.
The years have gone so quickly,
Oh where did they go, so strictly?
You now have aged more than your years,
I feel you know this and I feel your fears,
You now have troubles with your feet,
Also with the people you meet,
Your eyes are failing you so quickly,
Your falls are so completely,
I feel your every pain,
Your hopefulness and lack of gain,
But you still seem so happy and gay,
Not a day goes past where you don't like to play,
You love all the family with your whole heart,
I will shed many a tear on the day that we part.
Thank you for the years that we have had together,
My friend, my confidant, my dog, I will remember you forever.
