Whirl and twirl upon the razor's edge
Careful now, don't miss a step
Remember to smile, turn out and smile
And whatever you do, don't look down
Too afraid to simply make a choice
So light the candle at both ends
Faster, move faster, twinkle toes
Dance on and don't ever look down
Burn your bridges as soon as you cross them
Like a scarf, throw caution to the wind
Move to the music while on the tip of a knife
But never forget, don't look down
The blade is now slick with the blood of your feet
Your step is no longer so sure
Be careful, so careful, when or if you make a choice
Heed the whisper and don't look down
I've danced and spun, twisted and turned
And pulled others into my web
My feet are tired and my heart is so heavy
I cannot help it and I look down
The time to choose comes all too soon
My look into the abyss tells me so
For one can only dance on the razor's edge for so long
In the end, one always will fall

Poetry: Inevitable
"If ever there comes
A time my dear
When life is calm
And my mind is clear
Remind me to tell you
How much I fear
The time
by Shaheen Darr
Life is made for living
Every moment a role is being fulfilled
Sometimes it's a parent, sometimes it's a child
Maybe a ruler
It is inevitable that life has a beginning and an end
That our journey begins before birth
That after we are gone our
How many misty mornings will we see dawn's light?
How many stars will be left to twinkle bright?
Or will they just give up
Inevitable
Life and death an inevitable condition
With acts of varied running contrition
A life of misery for some
For others
