As day's star falls out of sight, Darkness enters the scene moving like a silent lover to overtake the land. Light dwindles slowly moving away without fear for Light knows it can concur the darkness when again it's time is here.
Night enfolds the landscape and laying on it gently, with love's embrace darkness takes it's place with us for a while. Night is sometimes silent, allowing reflections in our mind, and sometimes it's overbearing intent on being heard.
Night is the time when lovers long to move together and make themselves as one, and the lonely long to join them as they move through life alone. Night is our friend for things we wish to hide, for darkness lets us keep them hidden deep inside.
As night moves along through it's course and ebb and flow, we see more life abounding, moving through it's dark life. Where you and I abound in lights true embrace these other living creatures seem to seek the darkness for life and love and peace.
I move into night with hope of the day to come but I don't want to waste this night this time of darkness that has come. In the night I get to dream of all that I wish to be, and I can hold you closely and make you a part of me. We can find a place together to hide away, a place for us alone to live and laugh and play. Night does not lie or cheat or steal to survive, it's just the absence of light and seeks to be when it should and doesn't come uninvited but makes it's debut daily when the day's star is through.
I embrace the night as a part of the day and try to make the most of the time I spend that way. I cannot rule the night just as I can't the day, but I can make it my time to live my life my way. I can create anew the things that I have done and let them be revealed by the coming of the Sun.
When night moves itself toward the breaking of the dawn, it's inhabitants seem to hurry to make the most of what is left, and the lovers drift asleep spent from the night's embrace. Although night has it's evils and they are easy for us to find, I think of night as wondrous and a time for lesser stars to shine.
The Day Star comes knocking and forces darkness away, taking on it's role until night again retakes the day.

It's about the rhythm, I think.

Reflecting upon the night is a discovery of our sensors. It is the meaning of our daylight experiences. This is the journey
Night is more than moonlight shimmering across the landscape where a river silently slips past a garden of fragrant blossoms.
As night arrives I now watch from the terrace as the tide brings with it's rhythm a waiting wave. We are on beautiful Hutchinson
I suppose it's a bit odd to say that my favorite time of day is the night... But it truly is.
