Greenland Hot and cold Geysers scattered across the terrain. A chance to experience a country which is still unspoiled and living close to nature at its coldest and most awe inspiring. Step into a different world when you walk from the plane onto a land that is greener than most people believe, and in some places colder than most would expect. However, to spend time in a country closest to the North Pole is an experience that you will not wish to miss.
8) The Rhine, Germany Take a weekend trip along the Rhine sleeping onboard and dropping off at the picturesque German towns and villages along its banks. This is where you will find the real history of Germany and traditions still being observed. If you pick the right time of year, you can either take part in their famous beer festivals, or witness the spectacular "Rhine in Flames" festival.
9) Belfast Recently risen like a phoenix from the ashes of its troubles, the town of Belfast is fast gaining a reputation of being a friendly and enjoyable place to spend a weekend. With it's reborn shopping centre and, not far away, the delightful Irish countryside, it offers the choice of relaxing or a hectic town experience.
10) Moscow The capital of Russia makes a wonderful weekend break. There will be time to visit Red Square and gaze in wonder at the architecture of the Kremlin, visiting also the tomb of Stalin.
Weekend breaks such as these will make a refreshing break from your normal day-to-day life, and the memories will last forever.
