Tips for scrapbooking your wedding memories

As little girls, we spend our entire childhood planning our wedding day. Creating a wedding keepsake album is the perfect way to commemorate our big day, forever. Regardless on if you have been married for ten years, if you are a newlywed or if you are still in the planning process of your wedding, you can create a scrapbook to embellish your wedding memories. Here are some tips to make your wedding album as personal as your special day.

If it is before your wedding day, assign a personal attendant to gather special keepsakes from the day to include in your album. Remember, your wedding day starts long before the actual day. Include photos from the dress fitting, the shower, and the bachelorette party. A special page with an elegant photo of your wedding rings and a journal of how your spouse proposed makes a perfect beginning to your story.

Embellish your album using your wedding cards, napkins, invitations, pressed flowers, and all the fancy accessories you had for your special day. You can even include fabric swatches. It is these items that give your album that personal touch.

If you are creating an album after the big day, go back to your wedding video and catch some of those charming quotes from your toasts. Song lyrics from your wedding song are also excellent for journaling onto the pages of your album.

Many couples have a special flower arrangement at their wedding ceremony in memory of a loved one who has passed on. Press a flower from the arrangement to include in your album. This will create a perfect memory page for your loved one.

Most importantly, a keepsake album is to be enjoyed. Start a tradition of going through your scrapbook every year as a way of reconnecting with your spouse. The happiest couples are those who spend time reminiscing about the paths that they have taken together.

Your wedding day is one of the most significant days of your life. Embellishing it in a keepsake album is one of the best ways to cherish those memories, allowing you and your spouse to celebrate that day, from this day forward.
