Need a Three Day Getaway Without Worrying About High Gas Prices?
Here it is! See St. Augustine in Three Days!

Centrally located in Northeast Florida, St. Augustine is an easy drive from most points in Florida and Georgia. It's the oldest and one of the most beautiful cities you'll visit. Want to see it in three information-packed days? Here's how and save gas too!

First, book reservations for a Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Historic Casa Monica Hotel. Valet park your car, and you'll never have to drive it again until you leave.

After you check in on Thursday night, it's time to experience one of the highpoints of St. Augustinegreat dining! From the Casa Monica, walk east a couple of blocks on King Street to A1A Ale Works. Here, you can sit on the balcony, overlooking downtown St. Augustine, while dining on Caribbean or Cuban cuisine. Washing it down with a hand-crafted beer is what A1A Ale is all about. You've already started your three-day getaway in an unforgettable fashion!

FRIDAY DAY ONE Put on your walking shoes and get prepared to see this beautiful town. First, walk out the main doors of the Casa Monica, across Cordova Street and turn south. Just a few steps down Cordova you'll find the Lightner Museum. Start your morning here because it is truly St. Augustine's National Treasure. View the many collections housed in this former Alcazar Hotel.
After you've experienced this mind-boggling museum, walk back towards the Casa Monica and you'll see, on the opposite corner, Flagler College, formerly the Ponce De Leon Hotel, built by Henry Flagler. It is one of many beautiful architectural structures in St. Augustine. You can tour the college, time permitting.

The first afternoon will be dedicated to a walking tour of the historic downtown area. There are many restaurants and caf's along the way should you decide to stop for lunch. From the Casa Monica, walk one block east on King Street, past the old Government House, to the Plaza De La Constitucion. Walk it's perimeter, reading the markers on the way. Make your way around to the historic walking area of St. George Street. Walk north on this famous street being sure to peruse the shops. Be sure to walk the side streets too! Don't miss the Oldest School House or the North City Gates. Both will be memorable. Look for the ghost walk booths on St. George St. and make reservations for a ghost walk and talk tonight after dinner. It's fun and informative.
Back to the Casa Monica for a well-deserved break.
