It's swimsuit season - need I say more
Oh how I dread this - I pull up to the store
Vacation is looming, I have no choice
I wish I had listened to that little voice
That last year said "you should get to the gym
and this time next year you will be in the swim"
But I didn't listen I chose instead
to put off til tomorrow the workouts I dread
And now it shows in my bottom line
My husband keeps saying you look just fine
Compared to what - I'm starting to wonder
As I look through the racks I can't help but ponder
Why is everything cuter three sizes too small?
In my size there's nothing attractive at all
Is almost as if the designer's implying
At some certain size, one must just quit trying. . .
I finally find one that's almost okay
But in the three way mirror. . .It ruins my day
I guess I'll just settle for another sarong
to hide all the places my body went wrong
Next year I vow, I will wear a bikini
something so stunning - my waistline so teeny
But for now, I give up - you can bet that I'm stopping
For my Tripple Whipped Frappachino with White Chocolate Shaved topping!
They have Double Fudge Brownies, mmmmmm a pleasant surprise
Now how exactly did I end up this size?
