To the rulers of the World;
On pedestals you stand
Down on your people you look-
The people of the nation.
Crowns you wear, power you own
Up to you, people will look-
The children of the nation.
Wars you begin, wars you win, wars you lose
After your soldiers you forget to look-
The sons of the nation.
On pedestals you kill time
While the nation kills and gets killed.
Your guns are held by others.
Your bombs are thrown by others.
Your bullets are caught by others.
Your fight is fought by others.
Your power is earned by others.
You don't cry You don't beg You don't bleed You don't suffer
You don't lose You don't starve You don't freeze You don't feel
You don't die
On pedestals you stand
Ruling watching waiting neglecting
Choosing warfare over welfare for the people of your nation!
