Tips for installing Windows Vista on your computer

This article deals with the upgrading of new Windows Vista from Microsoft Windows. This article also gives a clear picture on how to perform a clean installation' of Windows Vista. When a clean installation is performed, previous files of the installation are deleted. Before going into deeper, one needs to know what is Windows Vista and how it is used. Windows Vista is developed by Microsoft, a global leading computer company. It is a line of operating systems used on different types of personal computers. It is equipped with new changes and new features, including an updated graphical user interface and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems.

There are different types of Windows Vista such as Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista Home Premium, Windows Vista Ultimate, Windows Vista Business, Windows Vista Enterprise, and Windows Vista Starter.

To upgrade the Windows Vista from an earlier version of Windows, implement the following steps:

1. Start the current version of Windows and then Start the version of Windows that you want to upgrade from.
2. Prepare to upgrade to Windows Vista
Note: You need to close all programs before you upgrade to Windows Vista such as browsers and media players.

3. Make sure that you are connected to the Internet.
4. For all information on upgrading, Microsoft is the best Website.
5. Please refer to Microsoft Website for System requirements and other upload requirements.

There is also one Advisor known as Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor' that deals with determining whether a computer that is running Windows XP can run Windows Vista.

6. Insert the Windows Vista DVD into the DVD drive and then implement the following steps:
a. Insert the Windows Vista DVD into the DVD drive, and then close the drive tray.
b. Wait a moment for the Setup program to start automatically.

7. When the Setup program starts, the Install now screen appears. Click "Install Now".

If the Setup program does not start automatically, then do
a. Click Start, click Run, type Drive:\setup.exe, and then click OK
b. Click Install Now.

Note: When you are prompted with the get important updates for installation message, click Go Online.

8: Click the "Upgrade" option to finish the installation
