A lot of people has lived their whole life thinking they must have a tree
siting in their house on Christmas morning. The reason we get the
family together around the 15 th of December and go into woods, we
want to cut down a tree for Christmas. When I was a young boy I was
told we have to have a real tree for Christmas. When trees started
costing a lot of money people started using fake trees. After two
years of having a fake tree I notice that the fake tree had not made
Christmas any different.
I have asked a lot of my friends about their thoughts about a fake
tree. Most of the single people told me they had a fake tree two
or three feet tall. I asked all ages the same question. At lot of the
stores will sell the kind of tree that makes them the most money.
When children today see ads on telvision about how much fun it
is to cut their own tree, once they find how hard it is to cut the tree
the parents will have to finish cutting it. Some parents have told me
they stopped using real trees as soon as the children lost interest
in the idea of cutting their own tree.
The idea of cutting trees just to put in your house for a few day is
not helping anyone but the people who are selling the trees. One
of the reasons people started putting live trees in their house was
because in older times people would put things on their trees in
front of their house. When people had to start paying for the trees,
they started looking another way to afford a Christmas tree. It did
not take long for big business to find a fake tree that would last
for five years or more.
I have wondered what would happen at the White House if they
decided to not to have that big tree cut down and shipped to them.
If someone in congress voted against it, would they be voted out of
their job. I know for sure it would save us some tax money just
for what it cost to have the tree shipped to the White House. If
we had a fake tree it would at least last as long as the president
was in office. The new president could always get a new fake tree.
The government could but a lot of new trees with the money they
saved every year.
