to answer the question should MLB Home Run King Barry Bonds retire?
YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
Bonds, for the previous 4-5 years had been a detriment to the game, you couldn't enjoy a game of baseball, because you as a fan, were forced to think about Barry Bonds steroid use, and had to wonder, how many players were using roids, and how many weren't, the once sacred records like career home runs, single season home runs, lost all their glory, because, Barry Bonds, who had in the 10 years he's suspected to have been using cheater drugs, had not only doubled in muscle mass, but had also, hit more home runs than was humanly possible.

The image of baseball, as this wholesome sport, played on sandlots, by young kids, dreaming of and emulating their heroes, hitting a home run to win game seven of the world series with the crowd roaring, had been replaced by greedy selfish athletes cheating, by using deadly drugs, to prolong careers that had electrified fans, but now would cause, the U.S. government to investigate whether or not our heroes had cheated.
parents couldn't simply drop their children off at the diamond to enjoy a sunny afternoon of baseball, they had to talk to their kids about, how some of their heroes had cheated, and warn them they could no longer imitate or idolize these players

26 MLB, games have been played by the S.F. Giants, the team has compiled a 11-15 record, heralded pitcher Barry Zito, the man they gave a multi year deal, worth over 100 million dollars to, is struggling like a spider in a toilet bowl, right before you flush it, and end its misery, with a record of 0-6, and an era of 10.

This a welcomed event, for the first time in the last 4-5 years, the baseball world, is free to watch the game, without, having it ruined by questions, involving Barry Bonds, and Roger Clemmens, steroid use, questions that prior to this season, had trumped, and ruined the beautiful game of baseball.
runs, than was thought humanly possible
Bonds should retire, because his comeback, would further damage baseball, by retiring, the league could, move on, and restore its image, as a game that a father and son could go to a baseball stadium on a warm sunny summers day, and enjoy the smell of freshly cut grass, the sound the crack of the bat, and the roar of the crowd when the home team, hit a towering home run to win the game
