What is an original political thinker? I see such a thinker as one who has the tenacity to put forward ideas, policies, practices that may at times go against the prevailing ideology. I see a original thinker in Hillary Clinton. I see Barak Obama's recent comments about Jeremiah Wright's thought processes as being out of sink with the black church as appeasing the electorate in order to get elected.

The original thinker puts forward ideas that at times may not be popular. However, they tend to portray the thinkers ability to differentiate between truth and fiction. The original thinker must be able to stay grounded in his/her thoughts and philosophy. Fear that by embracing the visionary and the truth of the visionaries articulation of the conditions that exist amongst the African descendants here in the diaspora would in some way jeopardize a particular out come or place that individual at a disadvantage is absurd.

Barak Obama who was once a friend and supporter of Reverend Jeremiah Wright's passion and sermons now seem to distance himself solely because of personal political ambitions. This is a quality that does not inform of a true leader. There is times when America as well as the world need to be reminded of the awful treatment that was visited upon her captives and eventual citizens who were ultimately denied full protection of the law. By Barak Obama coming out against the reality of America's legacy with regards to it's treatment of it's darker citizen only suggests his real weakness and how out touch he is with African descendants dilemma here in America.

In retrospect looking back upon all the other black presidential hopefuls, Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, Shirley Chisholm we see that they were not taken serious due to there unwillingness to compromise their views and Aficaness. When I read Dr. W.E.B Dubious' "Souls of Black Folk" I identified with every element that was being explained by way of the Vail. Any African descendant who desires to run for elective office here in America must confront the two-ness that Dr. Dubois spoke of in the "Souls of Black Folk." Barak Obama has attempted to ignore this reality. His ability to think in original terms has been subordinated to his willingness to sacrifice one for the other.

In contrast, Hilliary Clinton has not subordinated her views for a superficial one. She is an original thinker. Her ability to vote initially to authorize the President to take military action showed guts and her willingness take a
