after you big adventure I am sure you do not want to climb into a wet sleeping bad. If you will be caring your sleeping bag around on your adventure with you will the need to choose. Would you rather carry the down sleeping bad witch weight allot less and compresses very well. Or would you rather carry around the synthetic sleeping bags that is a lot more heavy and bulky. So if you are in a wet environment and will be carrying you bag on your adventure with you. Your should most likely choose one of the light weight synthetic sleeping bags.
If you where going to stay in a more dry environment you should choose the down filled bag; for the simple fact it is lighter, less bulky, warmest and will compress smaller than the synthetic sleeping bag. It really depends on the type of outdoor adventures person you are. If you do not adventure in the out doors often you should probably choose the synthetic sleeping bag because they cost a lot less. Why pay much more money on the more expensive down sleeping bag if you do not even use it that much. Sure it is fun spending money to purchase the best out door gear. If you are not going to use it much why waist all of your money. You can purchase something you would like more. On the other hand if you are a out door adventures person you should probably purchase the down filling sleeping bag. Even though the down filling sleeping bag does cost a lot more than the synthetic sleeping bag. The down filled sleeping last a lot longer up to 20 years if taken care of right. So when purchasing the synthetic sleeping bag that costs a lot less thinking it will save you money; they only last up to 5-6 years. It will actually cost you a lot more money in the long run. When your synthetic sleeping wears down after 5-6 years you will have to purchase a new sleeping bag and so on after the tears past. If you just purchase the light, more comfortable, and more compressed sleeping bag it will last 20 years. You will save a lot of money in the long run.
When it all come down to it the best sleeping bag for you either the synthetic sleeping bag or the down filled sleeping bag all depend on the type of person you are, what type of environment you will be staying in. What the weather will be like on your trip. When you choose which sleeping bag would be the best for you either the synthetic sleeping bag or the down filled sleeping bag. Make sure you evaluate all the factors before you purchase you sleeping bag. You will need to plan ahead of time of where you are going, what the climate is like, what will the weather be like and what type of adventures person are you. Make sure you consider all factors so you do not waits your money. My self both sleeping bags have advantages and disadvantages that come with them. It all depends on you and who you are. If you will use a lot or if you will use a little. I would probably chose the synthetic sleeping bag considering the fact I am not to adventures in the out doors and if I do use a sleeping bag it is just to camp out at a camp ground. In my environment the air is well moistened at night do it would be best for me to chose the bag that will dry the fastest. That is who I am though. Every one is diffrent.
