Tips for balancing a busy life

Life is can get busy and sometimes throws you off balance. Especially if you are juggling family life and work. Trust me it can be difficult. I work full time and have two children at home to raise. Sometimes you have last minute chores to do or someone calls you up right before you walk out the door.

First of all make a list of your priorities. Number them from one being what has to be done first to ten what can wait. Once you have priorities listed focus on the first thing on the list and work your way down to the last objective on the list. Some people can multitask and other people think they can remember everything. When you get busy you are thrown into a loop you might possibly forget one or two things that you want to do by accident. There are a few simple things that you can do to keep track of your chores or goals in your busy life.

Second make yourself a checklist of either tasks you have to get done or groceries or errands you have to run. Check each thing you have either gotten or have completed so you can keep track of where you stand during the day. Whenever my husband and I go grocery shopping we make a list and once we get the item we cross it off so we don't accidentally get the same thing twice. It also helps us keep track of the stuff we still need to get.

Third get a bunch of post it notes and stick them everywhere so you can be reminded what needs to be done around the house or what errands you need to make in that day. If you ever seen Bruce Almighty, he uses post it notes all the times and they are constantly everywhere.

You could also have a little recorder and record everything you wanted to get done that day and play it over and over until you can remember to do all things you have to do.

If your children are old enough maybe they can help you with a few chores around the house. You can also delegate, have your husband and children do certain chores so you can focus on one task instead of all of them.

Remember write down everything nobodies memory is 100% and there will be times that you will forget what you needed to do. So write it down, keep track of your tasks, and your day will be a little less hectic and more organized. Organization is key to keep your busy life more peaceful.
