Stranded between rooms,
the admission hit us like
colliding trees

struck down by an unseen hand.

"Who, then?"
I repeated,
as if there were
some equation
that could stanch the inevitable.



Perfectly incriminated
you bathed in the winning moment
and answered with two simple words

from the slow luxury
of distance.
