Poetry: Driving humor

by Linda Ann Nickerson

MINIS AND WHINNIES

The miniature horses are cute.
They pull carts and wagons to boot.
For folks great and small,
The minis enthrall
With darlingness most absolute.

A horse may be tiny or tall,
While ponies aren't horses at all.
Though some are confused,
Or merely bemused,
Small horses fit two to a stall.

And here is what puzzles us so,
Attending each horse driving show:
The minis are strong
To pull carts along,
When judges say, "Ready, set go."
