Is death a choice or fate? Death is an interesting thing. We all will come to a place in which our bodies will perish. It is inevitable. But death is a choice. You can be so caught up in death, be so afraid of the inevitable that you actually are not living. And by not living are you not then dead?
By the generic meaning of fate (something unavoidable that befalls a person) it would mean that it would only happen to one person. So it would not be fate, that body will perish, but indeed a fact. Have you ever met a person that at the end of their days was not dead? It is not fate that one shall die it is the truth.
It seems that some people do not want to accept the truths of life. For instance to live would mean to continue on in existence. For those that believe that our bodies are simply vessels that are carrying a living soul; there should be no fear, for you will know that your soul will move on from your body to another form. But be cautious of how you live now for you will have to answer later.
For others who don't believe in the continuation of life after the body then you may want to know that to life also means to continue on in the memory of peoples minds. So make your time here on earth something special and change the world for the better so that others will remember you for all of time. Take for example the Egyptian Pharaohs whom existed in the 14th Century BC and they are still alive in our minds although their bodies have perished an extremely long time ago.
In the dictionary is says that choice is the act of choosing, and to choose means to select from a number of possibilities. Since death is a choice, the other possibility that you could choose is LIFE! Do you choose to live for death, by worrying about it, making it the main focus of your life, or do you choose to live for life.
For those who seek life and it's meaning, stop thinking and start living. Feel the life with in you and listen in quiet stillness, watch the birds, flowers and trees and see the life that is in them. The same life in them is the same life in you. Death will inevitably happen to the body, so embrace it as a part of the journey that we are on. Once you accept what is, it will no longer bring fear to you.
